Trinational start-up ship celebrates its premiere

Ortenau. The organizers of the first tri-national start-up ship draw a positive balance: a total of 146 start-up founders, investors and supporters came together on a river cruise ship on the Rhine. Around half of the participants came from Germany, the other half from France and two passengers from Switzerland. The aim of the event was to strengthen cross-border networking and promote the start-up scene.

The first tri-national start-up conference offered participants 22 speakers and coaches on the topics of “Financing”, “Recruiting” and “Sales” over two days. The guest of honor was Johannes Kliesch, founder and CEO of the Mannheim-based lifestyle start-up SNOCKS. The 28-year-old founded his company during his dual studies in banking. In 2022, Johannes Kliesch was voted one of the “30 under 30 Europe” by the international business magazine Forbes. The company recorded a turnover of 57 million euros in 2022. Johannes Kliesch was a guest at the invitation of the Ortenau start-up initiative foundersnet, where he had previously appeared as a speaker. In addition, 20 other experienced speakers and early-stage start-ups provided information on topics such as sales, pitch coaching, recruiting and internationalization strategies.

The river cruise ship had set off from Strasbourg in the direction of Breisach. On Saturday, we headed back downriver to Strasbourg. The event was organized by nectanet and other partners in the Upper Rhine region.
