The regional location marketing agency nectanet presented the Black Forest Power Region at an international conference in Berlin.
nectanet was invited to the Future Workforce Global Summit by the School of Professional Studies at New York University (NYU).
The region was represented by nectanet Managing Director Dominik Fehringer, who explained to around 150 international participants the necessity of the reorganization that took place two years ago and presented the regional strategy and the resulting activities and projects.
The panel, which focused on the future viability of cities and regions, included the Black Forest Power Region as well as the major cities of Abu Dhabi and New York. Abby Jo Sigal, Senior Director at the Mayor’s Office, with responsibility for talent acquisition and promotion, traveled from New York. The experiences and strategies of the Middle East metropolis Abu Dhabi were presented by Xiangcen Guo, head of the emirate’s talent programs. The panel was moderated by Lisette Nieves, President of the Fund for the City of New York.
Fehringer was delighted with the invitation, which was remarkable because of the high level of interest in the strategy and development of the Black Forest Power Region. “The recognition of our decisions and our activities was not only evident in the invitation to participate, but also in the reactions of the organizers, panel participants and the audience afterwards,” Fehringer concluded. No other region or city from Germany or Europe was represented on the panel. “These are also fruits that we are happy to reap. However, it is crucial that we achieve the goals we have set ourselves by consistently implementing our strategy. We can feel this in our international location marketing, but also locally in the Black Forest Power Region,” says Fehringer.
