Oberwolfach.<\/strong> According to Chairman Stefan Junghanns, the focus of the trade association is on reviving a culinary event and preparing for the municipality’s anniversary next year. After his first year as Chairman, Junghanns was delighted to welcome numerous members to the Annual General Meeting last Monday at the “Walkenstein” inn. Nectanet Managing Director Dominik Fehringer was a guest and gave a presentation on the economic challenges facing the region.
After many things were paralyzed by the coronavirus pandemic, the Board would now like to try again to organize a culinary festival or an event hike together. Last year, the members visited the Klara mine and completed a first aid course. Junghanns said that they would continue to offer this once a year. Preparations for the anniversary year are also underway in the trade association. In addition, the Board of Directors would like to show more social commitment; last year, 5,000 euros were donated to the Wolftal School support association and the hospital support association.
In his review, Junghanns also talked about the Heimatk\u00e4rtle. “The Heimatk\u00e4rtle has become extremely well established, a lot of money stays here in the region,” he said. There are currently 93 partner companies in eight municipalities as well as 77 employers who pass on tax-free benefits in kind to more than 2,500 employees via the Job Plus scheme. So far, 18,710 vouchers worth around 550,000 euros have been redeemed. Almost 654,000 euros are currently in circulation, which can be redeemed in the partner businesses. “This is a great success and a good project that connects trade associations and communities,” says Junghanns. Treasurer Lisa Stehle reported on the association’s finances and the cash auditors Christa Mayer and Monika Bonath certified that her cash management was impeccable. Mayor Matthias Bauernfeind thanked the association for its commitment. “We always need good ideas and impetus for life here in the village.” The municipality is always striving to create good conditions and a good infrastructure so that people feel comfortable here, but the biggest challenges at the moment are the shortage of workers and housing.
In his presentation, Dominik Fehringer reported on the tasks and challenges of the “Black Forest Power Region” and was available to answer questions. The central task of the Nectanet network is regional location marketing and business promotion. At the top of the agenda are
recruitment and support for start-ups in the region. “We need qualified workers and we are on the move internationally,” said Fehringer. As a tip for members, he said: “What you should definitely not miss out on is digital development and the integration of AI”. The topic of broadband expansion also occupied the Oberwolfach members.<\/p>\n
